"I can honestly say that Linda saved my life and my future"


When I came to Linda in January, I was a pretty broken woman. A serious fall the spring before had injured both my ankles very badly, leading to some serious weight gain, which in turn resulted in daily pain with every step I took. This also contributed to quite serious depression. I'd tried working with other trainers, with classes, dieting, but nothing seemed to stick or work and I couldn't lift myself out of the rut I was in.

In my first session with Linda, I couldn't even bend over to reach a medicine ball, let alone pick it up. Linda approached my healing holistically and with ingenuity and patience. Her knowledge of nutrition is second to none. She reminded me of how and why to eat to be in the best health, tweaking my diet to my lifestyle and tastes, so it feels completely natural to me now to fuel myself in a way that is kind to my body. She completely understands the psychological barriers to facing challenges like injury and the effects of emotional eating. I felt fully supported through those daily hurdles with Linda on hand. As a PT, I was wowed with her imagination, memory and ingenuity. At the start of training with her, I couldn't put any weight on my feet, had zero flexibility and no cardio fitness or stamina. Every single session (and there have been many), she was able to introduce new exercises that brought consistent improvement. Week by week I saw weight fall off but more importantly, I saw my strength, flexibility and movement improve dramatically. This week, I'll be running a 5K again, for the first time in over a year. I now rarely ever feel pain in my feet and ankles and I am so, very much happier. Thank you Linda, for saving my ass!

"I've never been one for the gym as I find them quite intimidating due to my lack of knowledge in how to train correctly to see results! I met Linda and had heard nothing but great things about her work as a PT and was super excited for my first session. I'm in a girl group and Linda has been training all of us and since she has we have all really felt and seen a HUGE difference. She has devised a diet plan for each of us and taken the time to give some fantastic nutritional advice. She advised me to remove both gluten and dairy from my diet as I used to have irregular bowel movements and constantly felt bloated, ever since I have removed them both I have felt like a completely new person! No more irregular bowel movements and excessive bloating! As cliché as it sounds she really has changed my life! I would strongly recommend working with Linda, she pushes us so hard week in week out and we are lifting weights we never thought possible and cannot wait to continue to work towards our goals with her! It helps that's she such a lovely person, each session is different and always fun!"

I’ve always struggled with my weight and over the last few years the weight kept piling on.  After a month of indulgence following my birthday last year, I decided it was time for a change and took the decision to speak to a personal trainer.  I have always been a bit dubious about personal trainers and how they could help me.  However, immediately after meeting Linda I knew that she was the right PT for me – not only was she an exercise guru but a nutritional whizz as well!  From just looking at where my weight sat, she could identify that I have food intolerances and that my stomach was severely inflamed.  She worked with me to change my diet and help identify the foods which do not suit me.  After a few weeks, the stomach bloating, belly cramps etc. started to go away and the weight started coming off. 
Until I met Linda, I had never lifted weights before (I had the common fear that I would get big and bulky) and could barely pick up a 4kg dumbbell.  Over the last year, we have worked on correcting my hip balance, improving my flexibility and strength.  I have a new found love for weight training and Linda has given me the confidence to weight train on my own.  Linda’s sessions are tough but fun – she constantly changes things up so you never get bored and have a new challenge to work to. 
She also has the party girl in her like me and so completely gets when you have an event to go to/just want to have a night out - she has been great at helping get to a point of balance.  I have lost nearly 2 stones over the last year, healed my gut and have a new found confidence in myself – I can honestly say it is down to Linda.

"After the birth of my second daughter last year I was slightly peeved the weight didn't fall off like it did 8 years ago after my first pregnancy.......in fact by Christmas I was still carrying 2 stone extra weight from being pregnant and I couldn't work out why I wasn't losing it, I walked every day for miles, I'm a veggie so lived off salads and veg, but still nothing...(I was praying this wasn't an age thing and I would have to admit I was getting older).
I used to work with Linda a few years ago and she knows I like the odd glass of wine or 2 and the errrrmmm occasional pizza.......! So I made the call and begged for help!!!!! Within a couple of days I signed up as an online client and my meal plans etc were set. 
Now I felt I couldn't let her down so I would stick to this........and I did!!!!!!! Within my first 2 weeks I lost 9lb!! I had a few wobbles but linda was on the end of a text or a what's app whenever I felt weak! She has opened my eyes to a whole new world of eating and it's not all dry lettuce leaves sprinkled with grass!! I have a new weird obsession with quinoa (never even heard of it before!!), I have swapped mayonnaise for yoghurt and I meal prep! Sunday is officially meal prep day in our house! I have far more energy and am enjoying eating in a different way. Linda has been with me every step of the way, giving me updates and praise and helping me when I wobble (not literally) but when i want to face plant a chocolate cake she is there on the phone or email! I couldn't have done it without Linda and although I still have a way to go, it's thanks to her changing my food attitude and encouraging me when I've been for a run that keeps me going. I was miserable before with how my body changed in pregnancy and even though I'm only 9lb down I've kept it off and am proud of that!!!  Thank you Linda for being totally awesome!!! Here's to the next 9lb!!!!!!"

"I have always had difficulty with my weight, and I couldn't really understand the reason why.  My fitness was never the best that it could be, but I always felt that I had a fairly healthy lifestyle.  I went to the gym and did not have the worst diet in the world, but I knew that something wasn't working; the fact that I'm 5ft 2in and have Polycystic Ovaries wasn't helping either.  I became frustrated and unhappy with the way that I looked which affected my confidence, so I decided that I needed to do something about it.   

One day when I was in the gym, I noticed how much weight someone who frequently attended had lost since I started; I wanted to be that person!  I saw that they were being helped by Linda, so I thought that I would give it a try to see.  I had used a Personal Trainer in the past who didn't really help me, so I was a little bit apprehensive about getting help.

However Linda has been amazing.  Her approach to exercise and diet has made it manageable and easier for me to embed in my daily routine.  I have completely changed my attitude to food as I always thought that in order to lose weight you only had to eat salads; I'm no longer afraid of carbs!  Linda has been great in guiding me on how my body works and the best way in maintaining a healthy weight and way of living.  Whenever I have a query, Linda offers helpful advice on the right food to eat and how to exercise effectively instead of wasting hours on a treadmill.  

Since starting 6 months ago I am nearly a stone lighter, I am more toned than ever before and have so much more energy.  I am a lot happier in myself and I couldn't have done it without Linda; thank you!"

"Having been a regular gym goer for a few years (something I never thought would happen!) my weight loss had plateaued and I was feeling a bit uninspired with my gym routine so decided to get a trainer to help change things up. After working with Linda for 7 months, I’ve already lost just as much weight as I did doing my own thing for 2 years and with her guidance, have helped form good habits that will hopefully last! Her passion and knowledge of nutrition mean that she’s always got a suggestion if you’re struggling with some aspect of your eating and, what is imperative to me at least, she’s realistic. We all have to have a life and a blow out every now and then, and she gets that so won’t make you feel bad, but advise to get back on track if need be.

With regards to the gym, she’s helped build my confidence to try different routines but also takes on board if you’re not comfortable with something, she won’t make you do it. Since working with her, I feel stronger and fitter than I ever have.

She takes the time and consideration to get to know what it is you need to get out of the sessions, and pushes you to achieve those goals. Most importantly, I enjoy working with her (as much as you can when you’re sweating buckets and in pain J). If you’re willing to put in the dedication Linda does to each individual, you will see results."

"After making a decision around two years ago to loose weight and get fit I joined the gym, and enrolled in a weight loss programme. Although this was helpful and set me on the right track I felt I needed more. I started working with a personal trainer,  and saw progress and results,  but still felt like I wasn't sure what I was doing when training alone, and wasn't really sure what I should be eating.
After doing a class I became aware of Linda Anne,  her class was amazing,  really thought out,  and really hard work,  I could tell this was a woman knew what she was doing. Her class was enough to inspire me to try out training with her, and I haven't looked back since. She has taught me how to eat properly,  and understand how to fuel my body,  rather than just trying to restrict my eating. I am gluten free, and Linda absolutely understands this, and was able to teach me so much more about this way of eating than I already knew.
I am now aware of what I need to focus on in training, and how to achieve my goals, and I  know how to use the gym to my full advantage.
She has helped me set targets, and ensured that I stayed on track when I needed to. With regular reviews, and full support I have achieved my goals, and know exactly where I want to go from here.
I promised myself I would be the fittest I had ever been at 40, and I was. At 41 I am even fitter, and so much happier with myself, I am 3 stone lighter than I was at the beginning of my journey, and I have a body that I am proud of.

"I started working with Linda about 8 months ago and I can honestly say she has been one of the most positive influences I have ever had in my life! Before I started working with her my eating habits were very unhealthy and minimal, she has taught me how to eat properly and healthily without feeling hungry and getting stroppy with people around me. "It’s difficult to know where to start - as of 5 months ago, I wouldn't have been seen in a gym, let alone have the motivation to get up at 5:15am or to book myself in for “extra curricular” classes! Apart from achieving my target of gaining weight and going up a clothes size, my self confidence has grown week by week. Linda has the natural ability to open ones eyes to the rewards to being fit and healthy – not only providing motivation during the sessions but being on hand when it comes to food and exercise whenever I needed. "In November 2013, I booked a girls holiday to Portugal for May 2014.  For a while now, I hadn't been happy with my body shape, being 4"10 meant that when I put on weight it really showed and all I wanted to do was feel comfortable and happy in a bikini!

I had been trying to get in shape for a year or so but nothing had seemed to stick and I was putting the weight (plus extra) back on. I was asthmatic, I had a wheat-intolerance, I worked long hours and had never been a "gym bunny" however, Linda helped me completely changed my way of thinking and in turn my life.

Linda's best qualities are her nutritional advice which makes you completely reevaluate what you put in your mouth (without completely denying everything you love!). When I couldn't get to the gym she wrote me a "home" exercise plan so I could keep going, she chose sessions which I enjoyed such as boxing and she made me realise how strong I was and how much I enjoy weight training.

Overall, Linda was the support, guidance and (sometimes) the kick up the butt I needed. She helped me find the willpower and motivation I never knew I had and I thoroughly enjoy every session I have with her. In 3 months, I have seen a dramatic change, dropped 3 dress sizes and lost over a stone! I still have a little way to go but now instead of training with a PT, I consider it training with a friend"

"Since my late teens I’ve always suffered with my weight and continuously said I was going to do something about it, but each time giving up at the first hurdle and ending up putting a bit more on.

I met Linda in September 2013 through my best friend who also trains with her. She referred me and told me to go see Linda, as she’s really good …. She wasn’t wrong! Linda was the wakeup call & kick up the bum I needed to realise I had to sort out my weight and health. Considering I was a gym virgin Linda helped me work through it without feeling embarrassed or uncomfortable, her encouragement and support has helped me push through. Linda is amazing with food and nutritional advise - always sending helpful tips and ideas for inspiration, I have gone from being a ‘carb fiend’ having bread every day to experimenting with food and herbs/spices, enjoying cooking (never thought that would happen) and learning what is good and bad for my body.

Since meeting and working with Linda I have so far lost 20kg and am still going strong. I have a bit of a way to go but now know with the right diet and exercise this can be achieved. I couldn’t tell you the last time I felt this good inside & out and now have the self-motivation and drive the old me never knew I had!!!"

" I suffer from Poly cystic Ovaries so it has been a struggle to loose weight but with Linda's training  and motivation I am on track to my ideal body.  She always switches up our sessions so I learn something new every time as well as giving me advise  on food and protein shakes. 

She has opened my eyes to women lifting weight to help tone up and improve my posture.  She may be stuck with me for a while! "
