"I can honestly say that Linda saved my life and my future"
When I came to Linda in January, I was a pretty broken woman. A serious fall the spring before had injured both my ankles very badly, leading to some serious weight gain, which in turn resulted in daily pain with every step I took. This also contributed to quite serious depression. I'd tried working with other trainers, with classes, dieting, but nothing seemed to stick or work and I couldn't lift myself out of the rut I was in. In my first session with Linda, I couldn't even bend over to reach a medicine ball, let alone pick it up. Linda approached my healing holistically and with ingenuity and patience. Her knowledge of nutrition is second to none. She reminded me of how and why to eat to be in the best health, tweaking my diet to my lifestyle and tastes, so it feels completely natural to me now to fuel myself in a way that is kind to my body. She completely understands the psychological barriers to facing challenges like injury and the effects of emotional eating. I felt fully supported through those daily hurdles with Linda on hand. As a PT, I was wowed with her imagination, memory and ingenuity. At the start of training with her, I couldn't put any weight on my feet, had zero flexibility and no cardio fitness or stamina. Every single session (and there have been many), she was able to introduce new exercises that brought consistent improvement. Week by week I saw weight fall off but more importantly, I saw my strength, flexibility and movement improve dramatically. This week, I'll be running a 5K again, for the first time in over a year. "I've never been one for the gym as I find them quite intimidating due to my lack of knowledge in how to train correctly to see results! I met Linda and had heard nothing but great things about her work as a PT and was super excited for my first session. I'm in a girl group and Linda has been training all of us and since she has we have all really felt and seen a HUGE difference. She has devised a diet plan for each of us and taken the time to give some fantastic nutritional advice. She advised me to remove both gluten and dairy from my diet as I used to have irregular bowel movements and constantly felt bloated, ever since I have removed them both I have felt like a completely new person! I’ve always struggled with my weight and over the last few years the weight kept piling on. After a month of indulgence following my birthday last year, I decided it was time for a change and took the decision to speak to a personal trainer. I have always been a bit dubious about personal trainers and how they could help me. However, immediately after meeting Linda I knew that she was the right PT for me – not only was she an exercise guru but a nutritional whizz as well! From just looking at where my weight sat, she could identify that I have food intolerances and that my stomach was severely inflamed. She worked with me to change my diet and help identify the foods which do not suit me. After a few weeks, the stomach bloating, belly cramps etc. started to go away and the weight started coming off. |

"It’s difficult to know where to start - as of 5 months ago, I wouldn't have been seen in a gym, let alone have the motivation to get up at 5:15am or to book myself in for “extra curricular” classes!
