Time and time again from my clients progress comes to a halt and training and diet goes out the window.
There will always be an excuse or reason why this has happened, maybe trouble at home, a break up, moving house or problems at work. I for one used to be so guilty for letting life get in the way. The one thing I do tell my clients and try to live by, myself is no matter who or what has hurt you, by neglecting your healthy eating and training is ultimately you neglecting yourself. This is not going to make you feel any better, and when you come out of this down period as we always do... Eventually you will be left feeling not your best and have to work all over again to get back to where you were. I think the best way to deal with these problems is to channel it into something good. Eat right to feel healthy, energised and keep you looking your best. Train hard to release any stress, your endorphins will take care of that. Exercise is the worlds most effective but least used anti depressant and guess what! It's free!! (Unless you pay gym membership, or me!) but seriously guys it works. Lastly remember when your back to your normal self there is nothing better (especially in breaking up problems) than being on top form ..... Always. Enjoy life, laugh have fun keep your friends close but the gym even closer ;) xxxxx

Trying to convert my mother over at the minute, she is trying desperately to get in shape for her wedding next year. The only problem is my mum is queen of picking! So whilst I was home last week I cooked her a lovely Clean inspired recipe Bombay Chicken Legs with a warm watercress and and pine nut dressing. She actually said she enjoyed it more than she would a cheat meal it was so tasty! For the recipe I used sign up for my online support PT package. Available in the shop very soon :) And remember get creative with your eating. Doesn't have to be a life of plain dry chicken xxx
Hi Guys, Over the past few months I have been trying to find out an eating plan (not diet) that will work best for my clients, mixing and matching, trying it out on myself without keeling over and I now have it! I for one will hold my hands up and say I did not design this plan myself I have pieced it together through plenty of online research and reading books, adapted and simplified a few ridiculously worded recipes and have been left with this. Its a way of living and not a diet, it takes all the toxins out of you body that cause you to cling on to fat. This diet will not be a fad that will end up with you gaining all the weight back on, after the first fourteen days we re introduce certain foods, in a healthy way. The change is not going to be easy, not because it is not sustainable or going to damage you in anyway its because when you give up the toxins I am asking you to give up, your body ain’t gonna be so happy about it. But in the long run, it will thank you for it. For those of you who have already been undertaking healthy eating regimes with me and took part in your nutritional analysis will find the transition period a lot easier (I have been building you up for battle :) ) Lets Start -
Toxins - What are they? Where are they? And how do we get rid of them? Your body stores toxins in your fat cells, if you have tried a diet before you will know after a few days your body will lose fat but you will start to feel sleepy and unwell, this is the toxins coming away from your fat cells and as they have nowhere else to go they go back into your system, this then causes your body to decide it does not like feeling this way, so it holds on to fat and stores all the toxins (as its safer for your toxins to be stored in fat than living it large around your body) So unfortunately if your toxic, its always going to be hard to lose weight. You will slowly drop off weight if you exercise, but as I always say diet is NO 1! Eat clean, keep training results will triple. A lot of overweight people are actually malnourished, a toxic body does not digest or retain nutrients properly . And a high calorie diet may not contain the correct vitamins or minerals. This is why overweight people are hungry - their bodies are crying out for nutrients. So in a nutshell we need to clean these bad boys out, its not going to be easy.. as most of you know me or have read my profile. I am no slim Jim, naturally fit or sporty person. I have had to work at it hard and still do day by day! And as your PT come to me anytime with any problems or pressures, I know sometimes you might think oh its alright for you... you work in the gym... YES I work in a GYM with PERSONAL TRAINER emblazoned on my back all day, Jesus Christ if I let loose and put on a pound people would be falling off their treadmills in disgust!! Trust me I KNOW |
